PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (Oct 11, 2017) – Police shot and killed three men after they allegedly robbed a business place in Cunupia in central Trinidad on Tuesday night.
Police said another of the bandits managed to escape.
Details are still sketchy. Preliminary police reports say men who have not yet been identified robbed the the woodworking shop at Soogrim Trace and escaped in a waiting vehicle.
But an alarm was raised by the owner and police officers who were on patrol in the area, pursued the getaway vehicle resulting in a shoot-out with the bandits.
The suspects were taken to the Chaguanas Health Centre where they were pronounced dead. A fourth bandit managed to escape.
