Today, we are proud of one of our own representing the Indo-Caribbean community. Lakshmee Singh, host of the show “Let’s Talk With Lakshmee” recently sat down with former Essence magazine editor-in-chief and owner of bed-and-breakfast, Akwaaba Inn, Monique Greenwood.
The interview was based on the new reality show “Checked Inn” that will be aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network on Nov 21, 2017.

Two women from different backgrounds, talented in their own ways, came together and instantly hit it off. Monique and Lakshmee shared great chemistry during the interview. Sparks went off as Lakshmee asked a question that prompted Monique to remark, “you’re a great journalist for asking that question.”
