Man Dies After Car Crashes into Wall at La Joya Sporting Complex


Passenger in Critical Condition

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO — A 27-year-old man is dead after he crashed into the wall of the La Joya Sporting Complex in St Joseph. His passenger is in critical condition, the Trinidad and Tobago Newsday reported on Saturday.

Prakash Roopia, of Beebeekee Street, Curepe, was driving along the Eastern Main Road at about 11.50 pm on Thursday, when he lost control of his car, Newsday reported.

Roopia died on the scene. His passenger was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital.
Newsday said it understands that Roopai was a PH taxi driver.

The autopsy yesterday confirmed that Roopia died from trauma associated with a car accident, Newsday reported.
