Former Trinidad and Tobago Legislator Dies

Dr. Morgan Job

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – A former legislator and representative for
Tobago East, Dr. Morgan Job, is dead.

Job, who had been diagnosed with late-stage pancreatic cancer died at the
Port of Spain General Hospital on Sunday afternoon. He was 76. He is
survived by his daughters Dzifa and Nzinga, the Trinidad Newsday said.
Job first entered Parliament in May of 1997.

In addition to being the representative for Tobago East, Job also served as
Minister of Tobago Affairs, and later as Minister in the Ministry of Finance.
He also acted in several ministerial capacities including Minister of National

Job was also an author, having published several books on political and
economic reform, a radio talk show host and economist.

News of his death was confirmed on Sunday by his daughter Dzifa Job on
Sunday. – CMC
